Team DPOrganizer is expanding, and welcomes our new CEO Carl Svantesson. Carl comes from the security company Detectify and will help take our global ambitions to a new level. We caught up with him to learn a bit about our new leader.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I was born and raised in Gothenburg and stayed there throughout my education at Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship and the Gothenburg School of Business. During my studies, I also worked in the US and studied in Italy before entering the startup scene in Stockholm. When I’m not working I try to ski as much as I can.
Why did you choose to join DPOrganizer?
I have a genuine concern for DPOrganizer’s core mission which, from the beginning, has been to help companies solve the complexities surrounding privacy in an increasingly data-driven age.
DPOrganizer has the opportunity to deliver a solution that enables companies to work with privacy matters in a structured and serious way, without limiting their ability to produce great products or services.
Personally, I also love to work with SaaS solutions where we get the chance to improve our customer’s experience every single day. There’s already a lot of passionate people at DPOrganizer that are working hard to make the lives of privacy professionals less complicated, and I’m really looking forward to working with them.
What do you think makes a brand trustworthy when it comes to privacy?
The ability to be transparent and respond quickly. Not necessarily doing everything right and never making mistakes, but rather acting quickly and transparently when an issue occurs.
You can learn more about Carl and our co-founder Egil’s thoughts on the transition in our press release.
